Biography

Justin Tullius is an immigration attorney who focuses his practice on removal defense, representing individuals facing deportation proceedings before the Immigration Court. He advocates for clients in some of the most challenging matters, including asylum, cancellation of removal, waivers, bond proceedings, and other forms of relief from removal.

Before joining DMCA, Justin served as the Padilla/Immigration Resource Attorney for the Bexar County Managed Assigned Counsel Office. In that role, he advised criminal defense attorneys on the immigration consequences of criminal convictions under Padilla v. Kentucky. He prepared comprehensive Padilla analyses and helped attorneys develop strategies to protect the immigration status of noncitizen clients. This work provided him with a distinctive foundation at the complex intersection of criminal and immigration law.

Justin earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law in May 2007.

His experience in both immigration and criminal law allows him to identify issues that can significantly affect a client’s ability to remain in the United States. He approaches every case with careful legal analysis, strategic advocacy, and a commitment to protecting the rights of individuals and families navigating the U.S. immigration system.

Justin is fluent in English and Spanish and has conversational proficiency in Arabic, allowing him to communicate with clients from diverse backgrounds and better understand their needs and circumstances.
